As quik mentioned there’s no problem with hitting top-end speed too fast. That is unless you’re top end speed is especially low……which it doesn’t appear to be. Do others typically catch up to you near the end of the race?
Last season I had an athlete that would always be in the lead at about 25-30 meters, then routinely get caught near the end. I too thought this was because she reached top speed too quickly, as opposed to accelerating then gradually hitting top end speed. Thoughts?
