Nothing special today, basic schedule. It was a sunny day outside so decided to jog a few laps at the track for a warm-up, I usually never do that before gym.
Got greetings from a friend from Barcelona! She will be part of the athlete-welcoming organization in the European Championships later this year. See the pic, I got a nice T-shirt! 🙂
The new mondo surface, technically identical to Beijing’s track, is already built to the Olympic Stadium of Barcelona. It turns out to have a blue and partly green surface (pics) . As we know, Lindford Christie set an olympic-gold winning 9.96 eighteen years ago at the same venue (vid), let’s see how the European Championships will turn out. Hope to see Craig manage well there!
It seems to be a bit unlikely that I would clock a sub-10.45 and be top-three in my country :D, so maybe I’ll just pay a short visit to Barcelona during the EC as a tourist, let’s see! Visited Barca last September and really liked the place!
