Alright, only two more weeks of dedicated max strength work and then back to more general lifting. I’m fairly sure my tests will go down from this block of training but I still find it important for the long haul.
4x50m flat sprints
2×8 skips for distance
2×8 double leg bounds
Powercleans- 3×3@ 265,265,275, 1×2@285
Box squat to parallel- 4×4 @ 385,405,415,405
multihip backward -3×8 (you might be wondering why I like this lift so much, but its mainly because it’s an easy glute isolation. I hate doing more than two max strength lifts with free weights after speed becaue I feel like I don’t recover well enough for the next speed day)
hanging leg lifts -4×10
I feel great from my time off. I did nothing but light body building work plus tempo this past week at the behest of Carl and Gabe and I think it was definitely the right call.
