The last two years I have really put an emphasis on elastic strength development throughout the whole year, gradually progressing from jump circuits to skips and bounds to depth jumps and hurdle hops. I’ve really felt like that was something that was missing in my training and have seen good results by incorporating it in to my program.
Combine that with staying healthy long enough during outdoor season to run quickly, and I’ve been able to lower my times 🙂
And honestly I would love to do triple jump and may hop in to one or two during indoor season. Given the results of my bounding tests and the distance I can cover during skips for distance for X amount of contacts, I’ve been curious for awhile to see how I would do.
