I have only ever used one version, getting fully into the air but I have seen another version quite a bit heavier where you don’t actually leave the ground but the heels do come up [plan was to experiment a bit with that this indoor season].

I use the version you plan to experiment with.. i usually start jump squats with 315 lbs while holding it in a squat position for a second.. then explode out and then reset which is almost as quick as me using 225. I guesse i use alot heavier then everyone thats commented so far at about 70-75% of my max. Usually this is after doing a few normal squats of 405 as well.
