what do you mean snatches as only lower body lift? what time of the year do you use this type of setup, and r u doing speed squats?
It depends. With a more traditional program I might use it only one day a week during comp phase or precomp. With a less traditional program setup that I've used for some throwers and winter olympic athletes I'll place it on day 2 of the three day cycle. This program in a nutshell works like this:
day 1: emphasis on starting or static strength, slow concentric movement, and ability to overcome own inertia, high loads, low speeds, high intensity, low volume
day 2: speed-strength / power / elasticity, fast-eccentric movement focus, low loads, high speed, high intensity, low volume
day 3: recovery and metabolic work
