I use a system, which I am refining for myself, from somebody else (and another website) so I don't feel comfortable with putting it on the site.
But in effect I keep weights are a reasonably intensity level until about 12 days prior to my major comp. But for about 6 weeks prior my sets say at about 85% of maximum set level and my reps drop from 4 to 1. The constant is intensity.
I have found the best way of doing things is look at what others are doing, look at what they did before it, change it to suit what you did and keep changing until is works for you.
