Morning: meet (55m)
Went to a USATF sanctioned meet at Glen Mills, PA, and ran 6.6 handtimed, in sneakers and no blocks. I was the only college kid so competition wasn’t too great, but I’m glad I could finally get a legitimate time, and it was a good meet experience as well. My start felt very explosive and I was well clear of everyone else in the first 3-4 steps, but I think I leaned forward too much and almost fell on my face just getting out of drive phase, then almost got caught at the end. I think I need to either work on building momentum during my drive phase, or just improve my max velocity. Next sunday I have a meet at NJ, which is FAT time + spikes + possibly blocks:)
