wow, the only thing you mention that involved the cops was the weed case and those charges was drop NO EVIDENCE.  you cant compare mike Vick with manning they grew up in totally different environments and are diff people, the herpes case was a slut who was looking for a quick buck and obscene gesture who cares you should hear the things fans say to athletes esp in the Georgia dome where the Confederate flag still fly high.

I know all about the growing up in different environments but that can only be an excuse for so long. I'm not trying to compare Vick with Manning so much as I was trying to say that he's not free of bad press and controversial behavior….things that 95% of the NFL is not.

The guy went to a school of higher education and is considered a role model (rightly or wrongly) by many. I'm not trying to convict him…I'll let the trial bare it's course. Just saying there's a lot of evidence against him in this case and if proven guilty it will be the latest PR black eye in a growing history of them.

school of higher education – ummm OK.  Yes your right there are tons of evidence against Vick but we haven't heard one thing from Vick lawyers etc they may have a great case once the trail get going.  I'm sure we all remember the OJ trail, give it time and lets hear from both sides. If it was Tom Brady it would be totally different, just like those 5 black kids who got shot in the head on the east coast we didn't hear a thing about that if it was on the UCLA campus it would have top the MINN bridge coverage. I'm still waiting for America to change, probably will be another 500 years but I'll keep waiting.

I heard quite a bit about the kids being shot. Maybe your news coverage in your area is just sub par.

I refuse to believe that this would be any different if it were a white player. You can learn quite a bit about how a person truly is by looking at how they treat things "inferior" to them. The evidence is against him and he hasn't shown any remorse. He would be treated completely differently in the news if he would have shown remorse even while maintaining his plea of innocence. A simple, "I am deeply sorry and troubled that these fights and events have occurred on my property, but I had no knowledge of them until after." would have done WONDERS for his case. As it stands right now he is acting like not only he didn't do anything wrong, but that there isn't anything wrong with dogfighting in the first place.

I'll say it again, you can learn quite a bit about how a person truly is by looking at how they treat things "inferior" to them. If he showed remorse over it, he wouldn't be being villainized right now.
