The amount of running and practice time trumps the limited NCAA eight hour rule “We suggest that sprint coaches should consider incorporating bilateral exercises in the training of power of a jumping type and also in strength and power training to improve the sprint start performance and consequently overall performance.”
so don’t think snatches and trap bar deadlifts will cause pulls or neuromuscular confusion.
What exercises are Mitja & Milan recommending?.
Have Mitja & Milan taken the NFL combine data on board?. The general consensus is the athletes who are great going vertically, find it difficult being in the same league horizontally (40 time) & vice-versa. There doesn’t seem to be any major correlation between each quality. Exercise selection has to be a key factor & I’m predicting (my beliefs) some contradiction in there recommendations.
When Carl Lewis accelerated away quicker than Linford (700lb+ squat) in the ’88 final, what MASSIVE poundages was Carl using in the bilaterals?. Kim Collins. What loads?.
What about all the scar tissue build-up that is forming/accumulating over time in the connective tissues & joints from all this lifting?, what methods is Mitja Bračič/Milan Čoh proposing to eliminate it?, more importantly is it succeeding?. ROM, elastic structures, length/tension relationships etc, how is Mitja determining these all remain optimal through heavy bouts of lifting?.
Fact- Usain Back Squatted. Mo and Ben were faster than Carl.
