Salmon's great, I think ocean ones are better than farm-raised.
Do you live in California? If so you can get organicpastures (organicpastures.com) raw milk in health food stores. Since you live 3 hours away from me in time-zones you could probably get it shipped from them a lot more cheaply than I can but its still 8.00 a gallon (!). Natural by Nature makes pasteurized-only (i.e. not 285 degree pasteurized and non-homogenized) from grass-fed cows and you could culture that with kefir from http://www.wildernessfamilynaturals.com and that might be OK in moderation.
Whole Foods sells fish stock sometimes, or you could ask them for the bones and make it yourself and add vegetables and meat in.
Brown Cow makes pasteurized only yogurt which is then cultured and I think that's okay in moderation.
Look at the ingredients of things, if it doesn't have bad ingredients it doesn't mean its necessarily good but a lot of things can be eliminated just by doing this.
