Specific Prep Phase 1 (3 weeks)
10,20,30,40m sprints x2 from 2pt start
10×7 stride long jumps (land last 4)
4x50m alt bounding
2x 60cm box depth jumps
Was great to get on a track today and a soft turf field. I haven’t been able to do any bounding for a very long time and it was great to do that also. Sprints were Ok. I am going to hand time all sprints except flys from now on. I did it for years from first foot contact and I have very consistent numbers from it. As expected I am a step or 2 slow right now. I am at 2.20 for 20m and 3.30 for 30m currently. At my best I am under 2.10 and 3.20 so I have work to do there.
Jumping felt great. Technique was very good. Distance was so so. My best from 7 strides (4 rights) is 6.60m and today I was consistently at 6.10m. Overall ankle survived although was sore from the bounding. Weights tomorrow.
