Something tells me, once you stop lifting so heavy, you’ll fly and be injury free!
Think about it.
I think this is almost certainly true now given his back injuries but when Nick was lifting heavy weights in my program there were no injuries that I can think of other than a weak ankle.
I train a handful of masters athletes and tend to look at it like this…when healthy, heavier loads are perfectly acceptable and beneficial but when there’s any kind of ‘weak link’ that you really need to be careful with certain lifts and loading.
