My guess without seeing the article would be that Nike Is sponsoring the American olympic team. Not the individual athletes are getting 20 mil each. For example if Nike sponsored 20 gold medal winners from america for 20 mil each thats 400 million. an imposible amount of money for Nike. now spread out between all the athletes from the US Say 500 athletes it comes to $40000 each. But my guess is that they won't get that much money, but it will subsidise their equipment, travel and accomdation. Dave I can't believe you don't know who Serena Williams is!
