As I alluded to in an earlier post, I was concerned with Pfaff’s reasoning behind not doing tempo runs yet doing “tempo” circuits.
I have my hunches (I know why I have to limit tempo runs because of shin splints) yet what is Pfaff’s reasoning. And I think I recover better with one or none tempo run days but included 2-3 BB/GS circuit days.
I would think Pfaff may do this to limit injuries, however Phoenix alluded to the fact that if Bailey had included tempo runs in his training maybe his achilles aould have been “stronger” and less susceptible (sp?) to injury.
