Well I can't say I'm surprised about Wariner winning, but I didn't think Brew had enough to run that fast of a final, and I hadn't heard of Otis Harris before the trials. It's bittersweet to not see Williamson compete individually, but if he makes the relay, he'll be one heck of an anchor, that's for sure.
I thought Wariner was gonna win as well. And believe it or not, I predicted Derrick Brew would get second and Wiliamson third. Not many people know about Brew. I have been running with this guy since we were in HS. We both started college at rival Junior Colleges in Kansas together way back in 1997. He went from 46.66 as a senior in HS to 44.53 as a frosh at Barton CC. I went from 48.21 as a senior to 46.48 as a freshman in college. Anyway, I think he had injury problems for the past couple of years but way back then (6 years ago) I told people he'll be one of the 5 best 400 runners in the world someday. Maybe this is the year I look like a genius.
