Good points Nick. I have often found that the “lesser coaches” by definition of who they have coached etc. Are much more open to learn and take on your views. Where as the great coaches often display the my way or the highway attitude. I had a coach when i was young who i moved on from as i improved but looking back i wish i had him to coach me now. I was just too young at the time to make sensible decisions i got obsessed with trying to get to the coaches who had the ‘elite’ athletes.
