They don’t really get to max velocity but they get pretty close to it. During the first 50m(usually) guys will take it out pretty hard and use up some free energy they have stored in their body but after that it is probably somewhere between 95-98% of their max velocity that they will reach. If they(or anyone) took out the first 150m all out you’d see them start to slow down before reaching the 200m line most likely.
