It’s a question of how much actual sprinting do you need…? I understand that sprinting has high neural implications etc etc and is a training tool in itself and therefore should definitely be a part of a program. However, do many programs overload sprint reps when other aspects of training may be more benificial…? I think this is a possibility.
There are a few training studies that have shown no difference in post test sprinting time between a trainin group who performed weights and plyos and a group who just performed sprinting…
So we all know that a combination of the 3 is the best answer for developing speed but just how much of each training tool should be used…?
