Mike, thanks for the input. The more I'm getting back into this, the more I'm thinking 400/800 focus–but I'm not ruling out 100/200 yet either. If I were to go with the lower events I would REALLY have to work on developing a start from blocks. I agree about the less volume and I have found over the years that high volume doesn't work for me as well.
As for the schedule, I'm unsure exactly of what you're suggesting.
Day1–speed session. 100m repeats, a few 60m accels?
Day2–weights
Day3–fitness–like running that hill in my neighborhood? Maybe a 20 minute run at moderate pace?
Day 4–rest
Then repeat? I'm also unsure of what maxV is. How about keeping this up for another 7-8 weeks, then moving on to more specific stuff?
