well dude, it took about 2 years for my right hammy to not open up during an intensive sprint, and another year until it stopped hurting or feeling weird during and after runs.
probably it could have healed faster, but after it opened up 7 times or something in the beginning i went on doing only weight lifting, and one beautiful morning last winter i went down to the track and everything was ok again….
and now i fwacked up my left hammy, ahrg.
whatever, i´m confident that you can get your hammy healed, maybe it'll take more time than you want it too, but our body is capable of somewhat everything short of flying, so fixing a little hammy shouldn't be a deal. now you'll have to find out what your body needs to do the job.
