It is an aspect of a complete plan. If someone asks how to get faster in the 100m, do you say to run 100m from blocks in competition every day? No, there are a variety of elements and he listed multiple elements with substantial detail. You decided these elements were unproductive, but neglected the context of the workouts.
They are unproductive in terms of improving max strength and power. I’ve explained this and I know you know its true. Its not reasonable for most athletes to lift 6 days per week so I suggested he drop the circuits as they were unproductive in terms of his stated goals. Instead of offering any alternatives or positive contributions to Jay, you took the time to say my post was stupid.
Twice? Well, if you create an account after you are banned…. it wasn’t for anything said. Sorry again for pointing out denial. Perhaps you have had your dose of the Jamaican grass? Mike Young is also banned, so I guess I am not in bad company.
Yes, twice. You were banned for behaving the way you are now. You then registered under another name and were banned a second time.
My first post attacked you?
Look back a few pages were you accused me of pulling something out of my a@$. Several months worth of posts and still not one attempt at a contribution that might move the discussion forward. You have said my contributions were stupid not once, but twice now, in this thread, while offering not one iota of contribution. Just ignore me and post your suggestion for a plan that emphasizes max strength, power, and hypertrophy.
I explained things and you said his workouts were unproductive, not understanding the context of them…. pretty stupid…
I said his circuit workouts were unproductive in the context of his question, which was how to optimize max strength, power and hypertrophy in the weight room. I say again, circuit training does nothing beneficial in terms of max strength, power (unless done explosively) or hypertrophy at such low volumes. I believe this is a true and valid opinion, and was not meant to insult. Why don’t you dare to give your version of a max strength, power, hypertrophy microcycle? Please include lots of circuit training and low load cleans.
Debating with you provides absolutely nothing positive to the discussion. I should have learned this by now. You can have the last word. If you have any contribution to make to this thread, I await your version of a sample week that addresses max strength, power, and hypertrophy. I won’t hold my breath.
