Sorry, I've lost the owner's manual. EMS machines (including this one) are pretty easy to use and quite safe. Just use moderation as your guide. HOWEVER, if you are pregnant, have a pacemaker, have metal plates or pins or have abnormally high blood pressure, you should not use it. The workout is intense but it won't "fry" your muscles. Just make sure the pads are nice and wet when you use it to avoid skin discomfort. A lot of info is available out there on EMS. Much of it is anecdotal, but seems to be useful. CF swears by EMS and references Kots' research performed decades ago.
