Take a look at the 10-spike Nike Zoom Shift Fly. THAT’S OLD SCHOOL.
These bad boys brought me a long ways
My whole 4×1 team wore these
Only the greatest highschool 100m spike there ever was,
Truly, one of the classics –
If you don’t recognize these, then I don’t know you.
Kinda heavy, but talk about a spike for the true power sprinter. . .
And No, none of us Ever wore less than 10 spikes in the shoe.
I mean why would you? That’s why people Buy this spike (or any 10 spike configuration plate-shoe) Because they seek that Extra Grip needed to generate that extra power over short distances. That’s the shoes specialty.
And Suprise Suprise, the ruling in highschool does Not regulate how Many spikes but rather the *Type of spikes that you are allowed to wear (1/4-1/2-inch ect.) Usually the type they allow is different from meet to meet, simply because of the different surface’s from track to track.
I never Once had my spikes checked at a trackmeet in highschool. Not even at the Drake Relays. I graduated 03′.
