Looks like you may be a little too ambitious on first phase and/or aren’t pushing up enough because the rest of the jump is pretty flat. You are right about your last phase but most likely it is because of something going on earlier in the jump. I doubt your speed is bad considering how well you are jumping. If you are inconsistent with your approach then make that a big focus. Filming and posting that could be a good idea as apposed to just showing us what you do from the board on. Are you planning on jumping straight through the summer? I would be careful with that because you’ve got to give yourself some rest and recovery going into the next season and sometimes competing through most of the summer at an earlier age can set you back later on. Focus on jumping well and the big numbers will come and don’t be dissapointed if 50 doesnt happen this year. 46 plus in high school is really nice especially if you have some potential bigger jumps in store soon. Do you do much stuff in the WR and sprint work? Do you work on just flat footed contacts like you mentioned above or rolling foot contacts?
On jumping through the summer, it really depends on how outdoor season goes. It’s been about 2 months since I’ve done any legit sprint work (lame weather), we’ll probably go back into sprints in a week or so. Only WR work I do are plyos/core work. I try to work on flat footed contacts, should I be working on rolling foot contacts? and yeah I will eventually remeasure my run up. It caused me to foul 3 of 4 jumps in a previous meet :(.
Thanks for the feedback Eric!
