Had an ok flat speed endurance yesterday, but I felt my hamstring twinge a little bit, and since it was raining and I was drenched and cold, I decided to call it about 3/4s through the workout because I was scared of pulling something.
4x blocks over 1 hurdle
2x(4x60m) – accelerate to 40m and maintain for 20m, 5mins betwen reps, 10mins between sets.
Afterwards, did some olympic lifting:
5×3 power cleans up to 265 lbs
5×3 snatches up to 155 lbs
5×3 push-press at 135 lbs
and did an ab circuit at the end.
Here is a video of a couple of the starts over 1 hurdle at a better angle. On the second rep it was raining and OF COURSE a drop of rain gets on the lens exactly obscuring me in the blocks as I’m starting, but I guess you can still see the rest of it beyond that 1st step.
