sprint42 – my 10.82 was in the 2011 season, so I’m not entirely sure where I’m at right now, since I only ran one open 100m at the beginning of last year at 10.95. Hopefully I’ll be able to do the 60m in my first few indoor meets to get a good gauge of where I’m at, since I don’t have a timing system any more.
I absolutely agree that I need to be in the 10.6s at least. Right now, just about all the high intensity running that I’m doing is on the flat. My one speed day a week (soon to be 2) is flat 60s, my speed endurance is flat 60s, and I just focus my 30s in warmup around hurdle technique, because I desperately need to get used to 7 stepping before competition (if only to not look like a fool).
I’d also like to note that my training may begin differing drastically in the coming few weeks, because I’m hoping to start working with Craig Poole in San Diego. So I’m not really sure what’s coming in concordance with that. I’m going to have a meeting with the people over there at the OTC soon.
