“Back home, meanwhile, I had the example of John Smith, the American 400m runner who had moved in the fall of 1980 to Toronto, where he’d trained with me for several months. Smith told me he had begun taking 25 mg of Dianabol per day in 1970 while at UCLA, and in one year had improved from 47-flat to 45-flat.”
Lol, must be a different John Smith then!
A several months…… get real.
This must not be the same John Smith who coached Mo and Ato on the cover of Jim Bush’s book.
Here’s the deal with you….you have a lot to offer because you have clearly been successful. The problem is, you immediately start your “introduction” with critical, dogmatic statements, and that immediately puts 99% of people off whether you are right or wrong. Now, you may not care, but if you are trying show, convince, persuade or prove a point the way you go about it will not work. Either you are trying to show how your ideas are the best or you are just trying to argue for the hell of it. You will get further by teaching them why you feel a certain way, not by criticizing, for instance Craig and Harry’s coach.
Coach them. Don’t beat them over the head with it.
You are right. I would probably turn people on more if I adopted a softer tone… But that doesn’t mean I’m not right!! And i always make a concerted effort to keep my arguements logical and objective.
P.S I love how everyone conveniently glosses over JS drug use.
