In SPP / Pre-Comp they are doing 3 hard days a week (maybe even 4 if you include a possible pre-meet low-volume, high intensity day). During the competition season I moved to 2 hard days + one competition day this year. Although my group was riddled with injuries to my heaviest hitters, the group as a whole seemed to adapt better from this setup.
