I honestly think after a while only thing you can do in the weightroom is maintain strength and try to master the correct movements and posture on the track at higher and higher speeds. I think anyone with any training background or knowledge knows that fancy lifts alone aren’t going to make you faster. But some people including myself have made the mistake of getting so specific that we forget to work other parameters because we are so consumed with specific work that we cant see the forest for the trees. When this happens we can lose what we dont use or train in my opinion.
