Friday marked the end of my second phase for indoor-outdoor. The actual session went really well – was measuring bar speeds / power again. I managed to get a bar speed of 2.3 m/s/ for clean at 105kg, which is pretty phenomenal for me. Backed it up with 3-4 lifts at over 2.2 m/s too.
In terms of how the phase went, it was ok. I hit some of my goals (sub-55m skinfolds, 6x115kg clean/bench, 6x165kg squat), just missed out on others (2x135kg clean/bench, 2x190kg squat), and was nowhere near 15.5 150, closest been 15.82, although in fairness the wind did screw up 2 of my sessions there! Starting to feel much fresher, which again is positive, so I think things are moving in the right direction.
My goals for the next phase:
Clean – 2x135kg
200m TT – sub-21.1 (PB = 21.04, depending on wind this may or may not be achievable)
Flying 30m – sub-2.80 (will be fastest for a good while, its a rare day when I go sub-2.80)
Blocks – sub-1.90 to 10m, sub 4 to 30m (this will be challenging, particularily the 10, but I need to improve here, hence the tough goal)
Skinfolds – sub-50mm (would be a PB).
I might not hit all of these goals, but having them gives me something to aim for, and should allow me to keep pushing myself in training.
