I was under the impression that speedfreak was sort of reloading from indoors after taking a week off and doing somewhat of a General Prep again. So going heavy in the weightroom and having overall higher volume was the plan which would in turn cause some soreness/decreased performance. With that being said he was recently talking about how he may only lift heavy once a week or sometimes less than that during competition portion of season because that’s all he needs to maintain strength levels…so obviously he’s not chasing numbers or anything like that. It’s nice to have mini goals both on and off the track to keep you going and to stay motivated. Not sure why everyone’s suddenly criticizing this…
