Regarding Stefan Holm’s ‘vertical’ of 59 cm I’m quite certain that there is a misunderstanding at play here: Stefan Holm is 181 cm tall and his best performance in the high jump is 2.40 meters – hence he has jumped 59 cm higher than his own height, which is a world record (tied with Franklin Jacobs). On Holm’s own website http://www.scholm.com you may find a list of jumpers to have jumped 50 or more cm ‘vertical’ in this way.
