The numbers are reasonable. It basically shows that there’s little correlation between standing vertical jump and high jump performance (or in a more general standpoint, single leg takeoffs). There’s a great study that looks at Michael Jordan from his collegiate days and he was MUCH better off of a single leg takeoff. In fact, he was just above average from a two foot takeoff.
In Holm’s case, speed is definitely the equalizer. The speed of his approach allows him to have a much higher centripetal force.
