Yeah usually is correlated with explosivness in first 10-20m. I really doubt that is his true vert…i think we’ve spoke about this somewhere else on the site…
Having said that, i know the best ever UK high jumper (2.40m) was terrible at any static jump test but was amazing at test where a CM or run was added.
There is a study looking at Michael Jordan when he was in college. If I recall correctly his standing verical was about 20% less than his single leg takeoff.
