I usually hit the weight room about twice a week focusing on compound lifts like the squat, bench, and deadlift. I’ll do about 2-3 sets for 3-4 reps at 80%-85% of 1RM. I’ve been doing that the last two weeks or so along with 60 miles a week. Not entirely sure on how to periodize the weight training..close friends are telling me I’m setting myself up for an early peak with no periodization.
