My suggestion to you would be to lighten the load a bit and do deep squats so you don’t have to gauge how far down you go. Mirrors are nice to have but I would never let that stop me from getting a squat workout in if the weights were still available to me. If it actually wasn’t an option then I might do some single leg squats or Deadlifts or something like that. I mean there are weird situations where someone might go on vacation and not have access to weight room and then thats when you have to get real creative.
good idea, but I forgot to mention that due to a tensor fascia lata / ilio-tibial band injury that I just can’t get rid of, I’m actually unable to go deeper than parallel and even at parallel I have to be extra careful since it’s painful at times at the bottom of the squat,even with 95 lbs on my shoulders…but just a tad over parallel,I feel no pain at all.Thanks for your input.
