I’m in same boat. Had never really squatted till this year, but even so, difference between parallel and A2G is 345 vs. 275. Call it 20%. I’d bet with some reps, the difference is less for you, due to height, but once you’re over 6′ – every inch below parallel is a killer.
I would think that good clean form will actually increase your ability to handle load, over the long run.
