Agreed, but you have to use ALL the science. There is a rotational component to the forces acting on a sprinter…they can’t be ignored. And technically, all vertical forces only pull/push you up or down. That’s why with the vertical/horizontal debate everything needs to be placed within a scientific framework. And as you say, if the vertical force of gravity only pulls you down, then by the same reasoning the vertical forces generated by the sprinter only push you up, not forward.[/quote]
I’m fine with this, but just because the cuing emphasis is on vertical force that doesn’t mean its truly being expressed vertically which has been my main contention all along. Hell, even Craig says he focuses on the downward push rather than backward, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t creating horizontal force.
