well, not insane amounts of weight,
Just substantial amounts.
like right now I weight about 151-153
my goal for the end of the summer is to weight about 163-167 lbs,
and then build strength and power and get down to around 160-161 lbs.
but as for the reason,
someone, somewhere, sometime, once said that more weight and power is required to propel your body across the finish line.
so If I can increase about 10 lbs,
and train for insane amounts of power and strength for about 4-5 months,
I should be able to run fairly quickly.
