I found it interesting how Pfaff’s programs for sprinters, jumpers, etc. look very similar or ar the same thing save for the technical training days. Even the thrower examples I have seen are very similar to the others.
I either read in correspondence or heard him say in a conference that the philosophy is to train the physical capacities (strength, power, speed) which are much the same across events and let the technical/event specific training fit the event. Something like that… of course not as dumb downed.
