1. Greater than 200m reps – Because it allows a little more volume – and anyone who is a 200/400 runner needs some of that type of work. And even a 100m runner can benefit from it – so long as the longer intensive tempo/special endurance does not dominate the set-up.
2. IMO that would likely provide the stimulus needed.
I’d bet they get a rebound effect. Kinda like 2 steps forward, 1 step back and then the 2 steps back forward can happen pretty quickly.
