Magic_Stick during practice go out on the track (straights), mark a starting point with tape, tennis ball or whatever. Place the foot that you start with on the starting point.OK THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT, have a friend count the steps for you, run down the track straightaway for 14 steps or how I like to count 7 strides(this means every time my starting foot hits the ground that’s one). Have your friend mark the place the 14th step or 7th stride hits the track. IMPORTANT- Do not look down and do not count yourself, if you just can’t help it count 16 steps or 8 strides while your friend marks the correct position. Dig out the tape measure and record the distance from the starting point to the place your friend has marked(it usually runs in the 70’s). Take that measurement to the runway and from the front of the board(closest to the pit) run the tape back to your new starting point. With your friend watching the board do a runthrough without looking down at the board then make adjustments accordingly.
