thanks yall, much appreciated. yesterday i went to the gym again and held to the promise i made myself, i am giving up the smith machine and will focus on the true power rack, free weight squats (its never too late to start learning the proper way i always tell myself). i felt a tiny bit more comfortable with the 185, the bar was not wobbling as much and i felt better control of the entire movement, descent and ascent. theres still the little things that im struggling with such as the taking steps back after lifting the bar off the rack, knees buckling slightly to the outside, a fear of falling backwards but i think im improving. tomorrow im going again and doing the same thing. only im not sure if i should proceed to 195 lbs, 205, stay on 185 ? any suggestions?
