😆 Go on Derrick, think away! Nah, I think I’m going to do the ends-to-middle approach if I decide to focus most of my attention on the 200m this year. As much as I’d like to work on endurance, I think getting myself under 23 in the 200m would do me more good now as far as reaching 48 (walk-on time at ASU) than training endurance now. Endurance is much easier to train and if I spend an entire season focusing on speed first while trying to maintain some sort of 400m endurance (I will run the 400m occasionally, but more 100/200 races) I think I’ll be better off trying to reach my goals. Plus, taking a year off from school, I’ll have more time on my hands to focus on speed and CNS recovery (very important in training speed obviously) so it might actually be better to train like a 200m runner this year with my new-found situation. Either way, I’ll post a “plan” (more like outline) when I get one done, hopefully this weekend. Ta-ta!
