Ok. Here's my dilemma my main event is the 800 and so i'd like to bring my 400 time down to about 53-54 range, but i'd like to spend as much time as i can on the 800 after i bring my time down. So i figure the fastest way to do this is Max V runs and dont do the normal periodization for a 400 runner cuz i dont have that type of time. I think i will do the intesive tempo on Saturday, intensity probably at about 85% so it would still help with facillitating recovery. I thought if i just worked on one aspect for a month I'd adapt and get the most out of my gains because i figure the most important aspect in the 400 is Max V. Do you think this is true.
