Correct, but cutting in half (as in the example you just gave) would be too drastic. I think a 15-25% reduction in daily workout volume would be sufficient. Another alternative is to keep the workouts exactly the same as in the work weeks except you would turn one or two of the days into rest days with no workouts.
So you'd look to drop ext tempo running days if you were going about dropping entire training days, because you're aiming to keep the intensity up???
Would dropping 1 hi and 1 low running day allow for both CNS and Muscular recovery though???
