I’m setting up 2 tx juniors 30ms apart and starting as close as possible to the first tx junior. So pretty much its the blocks, the starting line, .8m from the starting line is the first tx junior, then 30ms later is the last tx junior. I know this is shaving off a couple of milliseconds from my 30ms but I felt a lot better doing blocks than before.
Hi Vince, don’t worry about the difference in time between the two methods. As long as the setup is consistent, you will be able to monitor the progressions. Regarding the 0.8 meter distance to the first tx junior, I think that will prove problematic if you try and start right on the edge of the magnetic field. Mike Young and others have done extensive testing with standing starts, and 2 meters is pretty much the minimum fly-in distance for consistent timing (2 yards on the football field is close enough to 2 meters). If you want to use the tx junior instead of the tx touch for your block starts, I suggest you follow Mike’s recommendation for standing starts.
BTW, congrats on the PR. Always love seeing those.
