Well – day 2 was also frustrating but had some bright spots.
110HH – Took about 90 minutes getting my quad loose to run the HH – wasn’t going to go all the way across the country and not at least try. (Not running the 400 helped, in that it gave me a chance of being able to compete on day 2). Wrapped the quad, and got after it. Made it through the race in what was actually a decent time – 17.27 – and avoided a blow up – but seriously couldn’t walk after.
Laid down and waited for discus.
Discus – Couldn’t put any weight on my right leg – through like 31m (10m off PB)
PV – tried 2 attempts but couldn’t get moving enough to roll a pole over and quad was in too much pain. NH
Javelin – short approach – 51.x M
1500m – just used as a very slow jog cool down
So a disappointing end to the year – but in this dec:
1. Old man PB 100m
2. Old man PB 110h (despite having a quad that is very swollen, some discoloration, and in extreme pain)
3. Old man PB javelin
So some bright spots. Off for about a week of vacation – will do nothing.
