Been staying on the same training schedule. Competed in the 55 meters at Chadron State Twilight on February 4th, had a weekend off, and then competed last weekend at the Weber State Wildcat Open. Been having a problem with standing up too early in my drive phase, thought it was a problem with the blocks, so At the Wildcat I ran without blocks, and it didn’t help. Last Thursday I kinda tweaked my quad, and on Saturday at the Wildcat I pulled my quad. Last night I lifted Lower body and it was fine during lifting, during my warm up for my track work out it felt alright, during my first 20 meter though I pulled up because it was hurting again. I was planning to switch some things around, no major changes just kinda mix it up so my body won’t be used to everything. With the quad injury though I’m not going to run tonight, I’ll probably hit up the stationary bike and maybe jog a little bit.
Last Nights Lifting
-Box Squat 3×5,3,1 (310, 340, 370) did these first
-Deadlift 3×5,3,1 (355, 385, 410)
-Powersnatch 3×5,3,1 (125, 135, 140)
-DB One Arm Snatch 3×3/each arm (75, 80, 85)
Any advice on the quad pull? Extension of the leg doesn’t hurt, flexion hurts, most leg movements don’t hurt but heel recovery.
